Our Vision

New Life Church exists to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ to the poor, the captives, the blind, and the oppressed, and to make disciples of all nations by being Christ-centered, Bible-based, and Spirit-led.

Our mandate

New Life church is a community of believers who are passionate about the gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus came to redeem us from sin and death, to restore us to our original purpose and position in God, and to release us to share His love and power with others. Our mandate is to:

  • Redeem - We want to see people live in the redemption of Jesus Christ, not only see their souls redeemed for eternity but also every other part of their lives. We believe that Jesus paid the price for our sins on the cross and that by faith in Him, we can receive forgiveness, healing, freedom, and eternal life. We want to help people experience the transforming power of God’s grace in every area of their lives, such as their relationships, finances, health, emotions, and destiny.

  • Restore - Every person who is redeemed also should be restored to their original purpose and position in God. We believe that God created us in His image and likeness and that He has a unique plan and calling for each one of us. We want to help people discover their identity and destiny in Christ and to equip them with the gifts and skills they need to fulfill their God-given potential. We want to see people grow in their relationship with God and with others and become mature disciples of Jesus who can make disciples of others with the ultimate goal of bringing glory to the Father.

  • Release - The good news of the kingdom of heaven should not be kept to ourselves and every person has the responsibility to go and share with others what the Holy Spirit has done in and through them because of Jesus. We believe that Jesus commissioned us to go into all the world and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything He commanded us. We want to empower people with the Holy Spirit and His gifts and to send them out as witnesses of Jesus’ love and power. We want to reach out to our local community and beyond with the gospel and to partner with other churches and ministries to advance God’s kingdom on earth.

How do we do it?

  • Equipping the church from the Bible - The church teaches and preaches the word of God as the ultimate authority and guide for our lives. The church encourages and challenges its members to study, meditate, and apply the scriptures to their daily situations.

  • Training them in the ways of the Holy Spirit - The church recognizes and honors the Holy Spirit as the third person of the Trinity, who is present and active in our lives. We help one another to develop a personal and intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit, who is our comforter, counselor, teacher, and empowerer. New Life equips its members to receive and operate in the gifts and fruits of the Spirit, such as prophecy, healing, tongues, love, joy, peace, etc. The church also teaches its members to be led by the Spirit in their decisions and actions and to be sensitive to His voice and guidance.

  • Growing in community, releasing it to the world - As a church, we believe that we are not meant to live in isolation, but in fellowship with one another. The church fosters a culture of love, acceptance, support, accountability, and service among its members.

Global Partnerships

We are committed to building churches according to New Testament principles, with an emphasis on the fivefold ministry of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers (Ephesians 4:11-13). We also believe in the importance of partnering with other churches and leaders across the world for the advancement of God’s kingdom and the discipling of the nations

What We Believe

THE SCRIPTURES

We believe in the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments in their original writing as fully inspired by God, and accept them as the final authority for faith and life.

THE GODHEAD

We believe in one God eternally existing in a loving unity of three persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit; co-eternal in being, co-eternal in nature, co-equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections.

THE PERSON & WORK FOR CHRIST

We believe that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, fully God and fully man, one person in two natures. We believe that Jesus was conceived through the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, was crucified under Pontius Pilate, arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father as our High Priest and Advocate. We believe that Jesus Christ, as our representative and substitute, shed His blood on the cross as the perfect, all-sufficient sacrifice for our sins. His atoning death and victorious resurrection constitute the only grounds for salvation.

THE PERSON & WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe that the Holy Spirit, in all that He does, glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ. He convicts the world of its guilt. He regenerates sinners, and in Him they are baptized into union with Christ and adopted as heirs in the family of God. He also indwells, illuminates, guides, equips and empowers believers for Christ-like living and service. The Holy Spirit still bring people into freedom through the working of the supernatural gifts.

THE FALL & SALVATION OF MAN

We believe that God created man in His image, that man sinned and thereby incurred the penalty of death, physical and spiritual. We believe that all human beings inherit a sinful nature which issues in actual transgression involving personal guilt; that man is totally depraved, and, of himself, utterly unable to remedy his lost condition. We believe that all who repent of their sin and receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God. We believe that all the redeemed, once saved, are kept by God’s power and are thus secure in Christ forever. We believe that it is the privilege of believers to rejoice in the assurance of their salvation through the testimony of God’s Word.

THE CHURCH

We believe that the true church comprises all who have been justified by God’s grace through faith alone in Christ alone. They are united by the Holy Spirit in the body of Christ, of which He is the Head. The true church is manifest in local churches, whose membership should be composed only of believers. That local church should seek to model, in every way, the pattern of the New Testament example of Christian life, values, structure and power. We believe the Lord Jesus mandated two ordinances, baptism and the Lord’s Supper, which visibly and tangibly express the gospel. Though they are not the means of salvation, when celebrated by the church in genuine faith these ordinances confirm and nourish the believer.

THE CHRISTIAN LIVING

We believe that the ascended Christ has given various ministries or ministers to the Church to bring all believers to the place of Christian maturity in understanding the truth, the performance and the function of the ministry. We believe that God’s justifying grace must not be separated from His sanctifying power and purpose. God commands us to love Him supremely and others sacrificially, and to live out our faith with care for one another, compassion toward the poor and justice for the oppressed.

THE END OF ALL THINGS

We believe in the personal return of our Lord Jesus Christ in power and glory. We believe that God will raise the dead bodily and judge the world, assigning the unbeliever to condemnation and eternal conscious punishment and the believer to eternal blessedness and joy with the Lord in the new heaven and the new earth, to the praise of His glorious grace.
